Location: Remote Type: Freelance Start Date: ASAP Compensation: Competitive, project-based with potential for long-term collaboration
We’re a creative studio working at the intersection of crypto, tech, and design. Our work spans experimental dApps, protocol integrations, NFT ecosystems, and Web3-first products. Every project is different — some are sprints, some become long-term builds. We stay lean, adapt fast, and collaborate with talented freelancers to bring bold ideas to life.
⸻
We’re looking for a freelance back-end blockchain developer to help architect and implement secure, scalable infrastructure for decentralized applications. You’ll focus on smart contract logic, API layers, server-side systems, and Web3 integrations. You should be comfortable working independently, making architectural decisions, and collaborating closely with front-end developers and researchers.
⸻
– Develop and maintain back-end infrastructure for Web3 applications – Write, test, and deploy smart contracts (Solidity, Vyper, or similar) – Build APIs and middleware for interacting with smart contracts and off-chain systems – Integrate Web3 tools and services (e.g. Infura, The Graph, IPFS) – Set up and maintain database systems (PostgreSQL or MongoDB) – Ensure scalability, performance, and security of backend components – Collaborate with front-end and product teams to ship complete features
⸻
– Smart Contracts: Solidity – Hardhat – Foundry – Ethers.js / Web3.js – Backend: Node.js – Express.js – PostgreSQL or MongoDB – API Development: REST – GraphQL – Web3 Tools: The Graph – IPFS – Infura – Alchemy – WalletConnect – Security: Basic audit practices – gas optimization – safe contract design – Version Control: Git – GitHub – Testing & QA: Mocha – Chai – Hardhat tests – or similar
⸻
– Experience with event-driven systems and real-time data – Familiarity with Layer 2s and EVM-compatible chains – Knowledge of serverless architecture or containerization (Docker, AWS Lambda) – Contributions to open-source blockchain projects
⸻
– Know your way around both blockchain internals and backend engineering – Can work fast without breaking things – Communicate clearly and follow through reliably – Have strong opinions on clean code and security best practices – Have a solid GitHub or track record of smart contract work
